Objectives
of the center:
To help linking students and new graduates with
the local and international labour market through a well planned strategy which
involves running free services for students and new graduates to develop their
transferable skills and experiences to enter the labour market as successfully
as possible and also to help new high school students to choose academic fields
of study at the university
Designing and conducting the following activities and tests: Aptitude Tests, Professional Orientation Standards and Tests, Professional Orientation Standards and Tests, ...etc.
• Developing skills that help to enter the labor market by conducting training courses on these skills such as: self-marketing skills, CV writing skills, successful job interview skills, communication skills, entrepreneurship skills, teamwork skills, . ...etc.
• Conducting lectures, workshops, seminars and conferences related to the work of the Centre.
• Designing and distributing various publications (brochures, introductory pamphlets, ... etc.) in the various professional tracks.
• Formation of advisory committees of businessmen, factory managers, education and vocational guidance specialists to participate in setting strategic plans for the center and supervise their implementation and follow-up.
• Supervising students and members of the teaching staff to make field visits to factories, workshops, companies and other establishments in the labor market, whether in the national public or private sectors.
• Assisting and supervising the development of practical training programs for students at work sites during the study phase, especially the penultimate years.
• Conducting specialized training courses for members of the teaching staff in general skills and modern teaching skills within studied programs under the supervision of local or international experts, especially in the field of integrating employment skills within the teaching curricula.
• Preparing and organizing employment and business fairs at the university in cooperation with labor market owners and with local, regional and international participation.
• Following up on the work of university graduates in the public and private sectors, in order to provide feedback on the business sector's need for various disciplines and on the strengths and weaknesses of the graduates' knowledge in order to evaluate and develop the outputs of higher education programs.
