Definition
A productive research center based on a total area estimated at 183,000 square meters that includes various crops on the Syrian coast (or in Syria in general that are suitable for the coastal environment) in addition to new crops introduced to the country (tropical crops and new varieties)
Tasks
1. Enabling students (graduation projects) and researchers who are graduates of the university (postgraduate research) to carry out their research in an optimal manner.
2. Enabling and assisting members of the teaching and technical staff to conduct their applied scientific research and providing support and advice from the scientific and practical perspectives.
3. Carrying out scientific research and experiments (in the event that appropriate equipment and capabilities are available) with the aim of benefiting from its results at the level of the center and the university as a whole.
4. Improving and developing agricultural production in the center in terms of quantity and quality, in order to benefit the university's budget.
5. Experimenting with everything new at the level of cultivation (introduced crops + new hybrid varieties) and at the level of the technologies used in this.
6. Securing the appropriate place for training students (Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry Institute) with various specializations and practical training for students of summer production camps.
