Since its inauguration, the center provides teaching the theoretical and practical aspects of informatics for the undergraduate level in some of the university's faculties and institutes. Either within the laboratories of the center or in the laboratories of the college and institute.

The center holds training courses that contribute to raising the level of university employees in the field of using computers and investing in modern software.

The center secures the university's need for computers and peripherals.

The center ensures the continuity of Internet access to most of the university's offices and laboratories with the required quality (by contracting for the continuity of the Internet and working to expand it, as well as to protect the network).

The center grants the ICDL certificate by conducting specialized courses and examinations for all interested employees in the university or outside the university.

The center, in cooperation with the colleges and institutes of the university, ensures the continuous readiness of computers through permanent and immediate maintenance.

The center secures the communication of faculty and technical staff members and postgraduate students with newly published research by enabling them to subscribe for free to the SCIENCE DIRECT electronic library.

Supervising the electronic comparison for university admission within the university and its affiliated colleges in the city of Tartous, by providing services that help in completing the comparison properly and facilitating the procedures for new students.

Implementation and investment of many programs that contribute to the automation of administrative work in the university, such as payroll programs, library programs, and self-employees programs.

Contribute to the success of all seminars and conferences held at Tishreen University.
