The Directorate of Libraries or (the Central Library) at Tishreen University is a civilizational edifice and a beacon of culture and science placed at the disposal of students (first university stage - postgraduate studies), members of the teaching and technical staff and workers at the university to be a reference for them for research, study, achievement and culture.
The central library consists of four departments: (Lending Department - Indexing, Classification and Documentation Department - Acquisition Department - Administrative Services Department)
The lending department is the main focus of the library's work, as it carries out internal and external loan of books in Arabic and foreign languages.
Under the direction of the university administration, the library works to provide the latest scientific titles and publications from various literary, scientific, historical, informational and intellectual sources to enrich its libraries, which include /108,155/ books in Arabic and /58,215/ books in foreign languages (English and French).
The Division of Periodicals and Arabic and Foreign References also belongs to the Lending Department.
In addition, the library of the writer and historian, Professor Gabriel Saadeh, gave his private library to Tishreen University, and a hall was allocated for it in his name, and it includes /6251/ books.
All titles in the library are automated within a program for classification and indexing, as well as for lending.

An Internet hall containing /23/ computers to serve the student in the process of scientific research through international periodicals, databases and search engines that Tishreen University participated in through the Ministry of Higher Education within the framework of agreements signed between the Ministry and international scientific institutions, including;

Shiraz Library, which contains a rich database to serve researchers and postgraduate students of all disciplines in the scientific research process, and is the fruit of the cultural and scientific cooperation between Tishreen University and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- A reading hall that can accommodate /600/ students, equipped with all the requirements that provide students with an environment for study.
- A conference hall that can accommodate /350/ invitees, equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment to host all conferences, seminars and workshops held at the university.
- Foyer for exhibitions and artistic and cultural activities.
The library organizes and hosts many lectures, seminars, open dialogues, and workshops, in addition to hosting dissertations, master's and doctoral dissertations.
The exhibition hall annually receives two large book fairs in the months of April and November, in addition to the scientific, applied, artistic and plastic exhibitions of the university faculties. Many activities and events, whether governmental or private, are held.
