Hello :
Welcome to the Faculty of Nursing, Tishreen University:
The nursing profession is based on foundations, knowledge, and a set of principles derived from basic general, health, and behavioral sciences, in addition to nursing sciences for comprehensive care of patients. health provided to patients. From this point of view, the College of Nursing was created at Tishreen University in 1994 according to Republican Decree No. /78/ dated 10/10/1994 and opened in 1995. It is the first university college of nursing in Syria. The College of Nursing, through its university and open education programs (bridging) and postgraduate studies, plays a pivotal role in accessing a high quality of health services, in addition to increasing the number of nurses. Tishreen University has a fundamental role in one of the most important axes of the strategic plan for the development of nursing, which is education and capacity building. Tishreen University provides a stimulating educational environment through the Faculty of Nursing, where the university has allocated a building for the Faculty of Nursing according to international standards and educational and administrative equipment. .The laboratories of the Faculty of Nursing, which are equipped with the latest equipment, constitute a turning point in the field of refining the student's skill in all nursing disciplines, narrowing the gap between theory and practice, and setting high-quality standards for student evaluation. The college also moved from applying the quarterly system to the credit hour system starting in 2009, which is an integrated method in organizing the study on the basis of translating the curriculum into courses and dividing the academic year into chapters. The full academic year, subjects, years and grades, in addition to the evaluation system, which usually focuses on the final evaluation at the end of the year, indicating that one of the pillars of this system is establishing the principle of self-education and taking into account the requirements of individual differences of students. It also opened a master's program in all nursing disciplines and a doctoral program in community health nursing because of the importance of this program in the development of the educational and clinical sectors. In serving people with disabilities with the aim of improving their lives and integrating them into society. A bridging program in nursing (open education) was opened in the college during the academic year 2009-2010. It aims to qualify nurses working in various health sectors who hold nursing diplomas from nursing schools, through their studies in the College of Nursing for two years, after which they obtain a license in nursing. The College of Nursing has now presented a project to accredit its externally developed program through an integrated project for quality and accreditation, as it has finished preparing a self-evaluation report in preparation for applying for accreditation after completing its requirements, which makes it one of the leading colleges at the level of Syria. It should be noted that maintaining the accreditation of the program, its curricula, and study plans does not represent the highest limit of our aspirations in the College of Nursing. We are in constant search for partnerships with local and international health and educational institutions and agencies to enhance the quality of the outcomes of this program. It is the direction of the sail, not the direction of the storm, that determines our direction. I believe that there are a large number of drivers of development in every organization who have been able to lead and expand their circle of influence, regardless of the position they occupy. They were able to move themselves and their team or department in a way that affected the entire organization. The person driving the development sail exercises the initiative within his circle of influence, no matter how small the circle is, and I am confident that each of us loves his country, and therefore he is concerned with moving the sail of development and modernization in this beloved country forward to bring it to safety.
