 Vision of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishreen University:

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishreen University seeks the excellence among the faculties of pharmacy in the country in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences, clinical sciences and health services by adopting quality standards in the educational, research and administrative aspects in order to prepare pharmacists with high scientific and professional competencies and outstanding academic and ethical levels capable of contributing to the progress of society and upgrading its health and civilization.

Mission

Mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishreen University:

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishreen University finds its main mission in the development of drug and its related activities: drug synthesis, preparation of pharmaceutical forms and studying their drug effects.

The Faculty of Pharmacy offers comprehensive and high quality educational, research and service programs that qualify distinguished graduates in various pharmaceutical disciplines who are able to compete in the labor markets in all their professional, educational, administrative and research fields, which contributes to the support, development and enhancement of society.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishreen University also seeks to establish and develop joint cooperation relations with scientific, research and service institutions inside and outside the country, as it represents the link between basic sciences and applied sciences in the health field.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishreen University is one of the leading faculties in the Syrian Arab country since its establishment in 1991. The faculty is committed to providing the health sector with highly qualified pharmacists. The college offers an advanced academic program that qualifies for a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry. It also grants a master's degree in a number of specializations, in addition to the opening of a doctorate degree in a number of specializations. Our vision is for the college to have a nationally and internationally recognized role to prepare a generation of pioneers and leaders in the fields of pharmaceutical education, advanced pharmaceutical practice and scientific research, with a professional commitment to community service. Based on that vision, the college has designed an effective and advanced study plan that prepares graduates with bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees who are distinguished by their abilities that serve the therapeutic and educational field About medicines and medical preparations, taking into account international and academic standards in this direction, leading to the application of quality standards in line with the higher goals of the university's policy. The college has expanded its postgraduate programs to now include master's programs in Industrial Pharmacy, Drug Design and Control, Microbiology and Laboratory Diagnostics, Food Control and Pharmacology and Toxicology, in addition to the Ph.D. Program in Drug Design and Control, Microbiology and Laboratory Diagnostics and Control foods. Advanced scientific research is also conducted in the college in the fields of basic and applied pharmaceutical sciences, within a sophisticated educational environment by supporting the educational process and creating an attractive environment for scientific research.These researches are conducted in cooperation with the various health sectors to reach a distinguished health service for the patient, in order to achieve a higher goal, which is to preserve the health of future generations in Syria. The Faculty of Pharmacy offers its students the possibility of training in the subject of confinement within the virtual pharmacy that was recently opened in the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishreen University. The Faculty, in cooperation with the Pharmacists Syndicate, the Ministry of Health and pharmaceutical companies, qualifies the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy to enter the labor market in various fields. The college offers all its capabilities to prepare highly qualified graduates who can be a great addition to their society and always be proud of their university and their country, Syria. In the next stage, the students will be interested in clinical pharmacy and pharmacovigilance because of their vital role in following up patients and monitoring drug interactions and side effects of drug use.
