Plant Protection Dep

The Department of Plant Protection is one of the main departments in the College of Agriculture and was established in 1990-1991

The department is interested in studying diseases (fungal, bacterial, viral, viroid and phytoplasma / plant plasma) and methods of their resistance. It is also interested in studying insect pests that infect plants, trees and field crops and ways to combat them. It is concerned with studying nematodes, honeybees and various herbs.

Number of faculty members: 26 members.

The number of members of the technical body: 13 members.

Number of Teaching Assistants: 6 Teaching Assistants.

The number of courses affiliated to the department: 33 courses at the various undergraduate levels and five courses at the master's stage.

All courses given in the department are related to the specialization.

The number of laboratories: seven laboratories, four of which are research laboratories, in which postgraduate research is conducted.
