First: In this department, the student studies all basic science courses, which include electrical and semiconductor physics courses in the first year, analysis courses (1) and analysis (2), nonlinear algebra and linear algebra in the first year as well. In the first year, the student studies Arabic language, culture and language courses. English (1) and English (2)
Second: In the second year, the student continues studying the courses of probability, statistics, numerical analysis, operations research, and electrical and electronic circuits. The student also studies the English language courses for informatics (1) and the English language for informatics (2). In the third year, he continues to study their course, which is logical circuits, which depends on digital electronics. Thus, it is established for the specialization courses by studying the mentioned courses. In the fourth and fifth year of all specializations, there are two courses affiliated to the department: the organization management course and the marketing and quality course.
Third: In general, the Department of Basic Sciences in the College of Informatics Engineering, as is the case in other engineering faculties, is a non-specialist department, but its subjects are considered foundation subjects for the rest of the subjects in the other departments (Computer Systems and Networks Department, Software and Information Systems Department, and Artificial Intelligence Department) and understanding these courses Especially the mathematical courses make the student able to follow up well and understand the different programming languages and prepare algorithms for which the mathematical concepts are very important.
