Field Crops Section

The Department of Field Crops is one of the main departments in the Faculty of Agriculture at Tishreen University, covering mainly the sciences that deal with field crops of grain and legume crops in terms of cultivation and dealing with them in the soil after and before cultivation, in addition to methods of devising and improving field crops with wide adaptation to the different agricultural environments in which it is grown It contains the variety in addition to eating medicinal and aromatic plants and inventorying the biodiversity of field crops scattered in the Syrian Arab country and the world.

The department covers more than (30) thirty courses taught in different years of study for the college.
The department includes (14) fourteen faculty members who teach all the subjects of the department, in addition to (8) eight charge d'affaires and five teaching assistants, three of whom are delegates to France, China and Russia, and two teaching assistants who are under delegation.

The number of engineers in the department is only three, who help in the teaching process - the practical part.
The number of laboratories in the department is five, and there are two laboratories for scientific research
