Department Description
Department of Basic Sciences in the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
The Department of Basic Sciences is one of the most important departments in the college, as it provides the students of these departments with the necessary knowledge in mathematics, physics and chemistry to serve their exact fields of specialization in terms of necessary knowledge in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Students and support the research process at the university, where its members have published more than /50/ scientific research, knowing that their number during his long career did not exceed /15/ fifteen members, and most of them have moved to other universities located in their places of residence.
Department vision: The department looks forward to improving the educational process through developing curricula and proposing study plans in line with the departments' needs and requirements.
Department Objectives: The department aims to:
1- Continuous development of academic curricula
2- Providing engineering students with skills in mathematics, physics and chemistry and helping them to continue their education.
3- Contribute to the research process in the college.
