Department Description
The Department of Horticulture consists of (14) faculty members on top of their work and (5) retired faculty members. It also includes (15) technical staff members and (5) teaching assistants.
The department covers teaching (11) courses in the first semester and (12) courses in the second semester in the first university stage // the second and third years (general), fourth and fifth (horticulture) //
The department teaches first-year master's courses (specializing in horticulture), and is actively involved in the research of graduate students (Master's + Ph.D.) by supervising these theses, either individually or in cooperation with other research bodies.
The faculty members also supervise the practical training course and the vacation project for the fifth year students majoring in orchards, and some fifth year students from the General Division.
It is worth noting that the department teaches in three specializations:
