Qualification and Specification in English Language Teaching MA Programme

Item (1) Tishreen University offers an MA Degree in Qualification and Specialization in English Language Teaching when officially suggested by The Higher Institute of Languages Committee. 

Registration Requirements

Item (2) An applicant can register for the MA Program in Qualification and Specialization in English Language Teaching when:

1.      S/He has a Syrian public university BA degree of a good or higher Grade Point Average (GPA) from the Faculty of Arts/Department of English Language or what is equally evaluated by the Tishreen University Committee if obtained from another faculty or institute, in accordance with the rules stated by the Higher Education Committee.

2.      S/He undertakes a Written Exam, an Oral exam, and has a General Interview and pass the three of them. The underscore required to pass each is 50%.

Item (3) Applicants get accepted based on a gradation of their BA Degree GPA and the results of the Written and Oral Exams and the General Interview they have. The University Committee is allowed to add other gradation criteria to meet the principle of equal opportunities.

Item (4) It is a two-academic-year-of-study MA Program following the regulations of the Annual System. The course of study begins and ends according to the University Calendar.
