The President of Tishreen University, Prof. Dr. Bassam Hassan, discussed with Dr. Jihad Kanaan, Assistant Minister of Water Resources, and Mr. Osama Akhras, Advisor to the Minister of Water Resources, the possibility of signing scientific and research cooperation protocols.

The two sides also discussed a draft executive program agreement with the Higher Institute for Environmental Research, the Higher Institute for Marine Research and the College of Civil Engineering, especially in the fields of seawater desalination and recycling of agricultural and sewage water.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College of Civil Engineering, the Deans of the Higher Institute of Environmental Research, the Higher Institute of Marine Research, and the Director of International, Public and Cultural Relations at the university.
