The President of Tishreen University, Prof. Dr. Bassam Hassan, met a delegation from the Czech University of Prague and discussed with him the relations of scientific and research cooperation in various scientific and research fields and disciplines, especially agriculture and economics.

At the outset, he welcomed Dr. Hassan with the guest delegation, thanking his visit to the university and pointing to the importance of cooperation with an ancient university in Prague through the positive and good effects during the past years. The meeting also began by introducing Tishreen University - its events - its development - the number of its faculties and research institutes, the number of its students and faculty members, and the degrees awarded by it (PhD and MA degrees). distributed in all university majors) and its scientific agreements signed with Arab and foreign countries, its important programs and its distinguished quality specializations

In turn, the guest delegation expressed its happiness at visiting Tishreen University and its pride in the distinguished scientific relations that exist between the two sides, hoping that this visit will result in the implementation of the agreement previously signed between Tishreen University and the Faculty of Tropical Agricultural Sciences in Prague.

During the meeting, they discussed academic and research issues of common interest, especially with regard to scientific research, doctoral theses and agricultural projects.

The meeting was attended by the university's vice presidents for administrative and scientific affairs and open education and the director of international relations at Tishreen University.
