With the participation of 600 male and female students from Tishreen University, a planting campaign in the Umm Al-Tuyour Reserve

Within the framework of the national voluntary campaign to plant trees in areas affected by fires in Latakia Governorate, and in cooperation between the Ministries of Agriculture and Tourism, the National Union of Syrian Students, and Tishreen University, a planting campaign was launched in the Umm al-Tayur Reserve, with the participation of 600 male and female students from Tishreen University, where 15,000 plants were planted, varying between oriental thuja and carob. During his meeting with the students, the President of Tishreen University, Professor Dr. Bassam Hassan, stressed the importance of these campaigns as they enhance community awareness of the importance of cooperative work and concerted efforts to rehabilitate burned sites, and their role in spreading the culture of volunteer work.

It is noteworthy that the campaign will continue for five days within an area of ​​20 hectares, and that this site comes within the afforestation plan scheduled for this year, amounting to 900 hectares at the governorate level.
