Closing of the third national university debate tournament at Tishreen University and honoring the winners

The National Championship for the Third University Debates for the year 2024, which was organized in partnership between the National Union of Syrian Students and the Syrian Trust for Development, concluded today in the cinema club amphitheater at Tishreen University, in the presence of the President of Tishreen University, Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim.

During the ceremony, the winning and participating teams, coaches, team supervisors, collaborators, arbitration committees, and the best speakers were honored. The honoring ceremony included handing over the shields of the Syrian Trust for Development and the National Union of Syrian Students to the President of Tishreen University, Dr. Mustafa Ibrahim. Shields were also handed over to the representative of the Creativity and Excellence Authority, Dr. Hala Qaddad and Dr. Muthanna Qabili for his efforts and support for the debaters and Dr. Sawsan Ghazal, Director of International Relations at the University, and the shield was also presented to the first place winners.

It is worth noting that the aim of the debate is to develop young people’s skills and belief in their abilities, and its importance lies in developing critical, analytical and creative thinking skills among young people.

Four university teams participated in the finals, three of which were from Aleppo University and a team from Tishreen University. The Tishreen University team won first place for the second time in a row.
