Marine Engineering Department

This department was created in the academic year 2000/2001, where a modern study plan was developed that included specialized courses in marine engineering sciences from the first to the fifth year. Under this plan, the graduates of this department will be able to deal with various marine sciences, ship building and investment, and investment in machinery. There are currently 13 teachers who hold a PhD with experience in teaching and scientific research in the department, and about 10 members of the technical staff teach in the department, who are interested in the practical and laboratory aspects of the courses. The first class graduated from the department in 2005, and the number of students in the

department in 2010 was about 330 students. The master's degree was opened as of the 2010-2011 academic year
