Design and Production Engineering Department

This department was created in the academic year 1986/1987, when a modern study plan was developed that included specialized courses in design and production engineering from the first to the fifth year.

Under this plan, the engineers graduates of this department will be able to deal with various systems of operating machines, lifting machines, heat treatments, machine design, project management, production lines, and industrial organization.

The department is currently taught by 22 teachers who hold a doctoral degree with experience in teaching and scientific research, and about 26 members of the technical staff who are interested in the practical and laboratory aspects of the courses teach in it. The first class graduated from the department in 1992, and the number of students in the department in 2010 is about 365 students. Each year, the department accepts a limited number of graduate students (Masters).
