The university president, branch secretary, student union president, and administrative, political, and student leaders participate in the People’s Assembly elections

Dr. Bassam Hassan, President of Tishreen University, Dr. Mirna Dalla, Secretary of the Tishreen University branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Tariq Alia, head of the Student Union branch at the university, and the political, administrative and student leaders participated in the elections for the fourth legislative round of the People’s Assembly, where they cast their votes at the electoral center in the Central Library.

The President of the University affirmed that the People’s Assembly elections are an important national entitlement, and we are in a phase of comprehensive development and reform whose titles and themes were given by President Bashar al-Assad. It requires transparency from everyone, noting that there is a great responsibility that falls on the shoulders of the members of the People’s Assembly to achieve a comprehensive renaissance in Syria.

With regard to higher education, Dr. Hassan noted that the higher education sector in general and Tishreen University in particular expect a lot from the People’s Assembly in the field of laws and legislation that contribute to developing and advancing this sector.

Secretary of the Tishreen University branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party indicated that the elections for the fourth legislative session of the People’s Assembly are an important constitutional entitlement that confirms the desire of our people to exercise their rights and duties and the necessity of supporting the legislative authority. It is proof of growing awareness of the importance of participation based on the national interest.

The branch secretary hoped that the new members of the People's Assembly would live up to the trust of our people and adhere to the national principles included in their electoral propaganda.


The electoral process continues until seven in the evening in 13 electoral centers within the university distributed among the colleges
